Maundy Thursday

Today, to celebrate Maundy Thursday, Noah and I visited two homebound women from our church. Our minister went with us. He brought the communion, I brought the baby and the flowers. Noah is such a hit with the women we visit. They love cooing over him and hearing about his latest escapades. I love the fact Noah is meeting varied people and helping bring joy into people's lives. It was great to bring communion to our congregants on the day Jesus gave communion to his disciples for the first time.

Tarzan

This morning I got out of the shower and was greeted by a baby with only one arm in his jammies. When questioned about this oddity, Tim replied that Noah was being Tarzan. Tarzan has a monkey and Noah has a monkey, so Noah was playing Tarzan and learning the proper vocalizations. I live with some cute boys. :)

First Trip to Disneyland

We went to Disneyland today to celebrate my birthday. It was so fun to take Noah there for his first visit. He was a little trooper even though it was about 90 degrees in the park. Here he is riding on the tram into the park with Daddy.
The first thing we did after getting into the park was to make sure to take Noah's picture in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle.Meeting the characters was a lot more fun than I realized it would be. Here is Noah meeting Winnie the Pooh first. Pooh was so cute, giving Noah kisses and being really gentle. Noah LOVED meeting Pooh. I think he loved the bright yellow color and fuzzy fur. Maybe he recognized Pooh from all the wrestling matches Tim hosts between Noah and Pooh at home. After meeting Pooh Bear we saw Eeyore. Noah loved patting Eeyore's fur. Eeyore was also great. He let Noah hold his ear while we took pictures. So fun!We took Noah on two rides while we were in the park. We rode the Winnie the Pooh ride and then the Jungle Cruise. Noah wasn't afraid of either of the characters or the rides. I was so proud of him! After the jungle cruise ride Tim decided we couldn't leave the park without getting Noah a special monkey. This orangutan has a little baby and Noah seemed to really like it. Amazing how that happens isn't it? It was definitely a fun day. Can't wait until we can use our passes to visit California Adventure later this week!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Noah and Tim planned a really nice birthday celebration for me today! We started the day off with presents first thing. Noah gave me a great lapdesk for my laptop computer as well as some super cute toys he thought I would enjoy sharing with him. Tim got me a new vacuum which I think will be awesome. Noah had a good time while I opened the presents, but what I think he liked best was playing with the tissue paper. It makes a great ripping sound.

The Golden Arches

Look where Noah went for the first time yesterday. ;) I was very proud he didn't have anything to eat though. A friend once told me a huge percentage of babies have McDonald's fries as their first solid food. I think he will last a little longer before indulging in greasy foods like that one. It was fun to go to McDonald's though as Carrie and her boys joined us. We had a good time watching Lucas and Isaac play in the jungle gym.

Palm Sunday

Happy Palm Sunday! Yesterday Noah enjoyed playing with the palms at church and trying to eat the palms. I liked tickling Noah with the palms. :)

These pictures we just took for the fun of it.

Photo Shoot

It was a beautiful day and I couldn't resist taking some pictures. Then, thinking I might get a great picture for the grandparents' Easter presents, I kept taking pictures. A few turned into a mini "photo shoot" with Noah. We had a lot of fun and I got some beautiful pictures. Here are some of our favorites.
