Sick Day #2

Well, we are still sick here. And the worst news is Tim came down with it this evening too. BLAH! He probably got sick while playing fun games like putting Noah's socks on his head. That little boy can take off his sicks faster than anyone else I know! Here's hoping we all feel better soon!

Sick Day

Today Noah and I both stayed home sick. It is Noah's first cold. Luckily it's not too bad; he's just really snotty and a little bit cranky. As usual, he's handling the illness better than I am. By 4pm this afternoon, we couldn't stand it in the house any more. We had to get out, but we were too sick to visit anyone or do anything strenuous, so we decided to get ice cream. :) We went to Ruby's and shared an Itsy Bitsy Sundae. It was very fun and Noah was able to take a nap on the car ride home. Hooray!

Easter Fun

This Sunday was Noah's first Easter! There were a few quick things I wanted to capture. First, we had to get to church early so I could help set up for communion. I ran in to the church while Noah and Tim waited in the car. When I returned to the car to bring the boys in for the service, I was greeted by this picture:Yes, it was "crazy driver Noah" pretending to drive my car. I think he was having a very good time with his daddy. :) P.S. For those of you still waiting for the family pictures from Katie's wedding, these are the matching outfits Tim and Noah wore for the wedding. Aren't they cute?At our church, one of the Easter traditions is to decorate the Good Friday cross with fresh flowers. We brought flowers from our garden and just had to catch this picture in front of the cross. The gorgeous huge pink rose right there in the center? Oh ya, that's from OUR garden!Last but not least, here are two cute eggs from this Easter. Yes, that is a monkey egg for my little boy. I couldn't help it. I thought his basket turned out pretty well too!

Painting An Easter Egg for Daddy

The day before Easter Noah and I painted an egg for Daddy. Noah did a good job helping, but had more fun dropping the egg on the floor than he did painting it. By the end of the time, the egg was totally bashed, but we saved it to show Daddy anyway. It was super fun! Here is the egg at the end of the evening.

Monthly Brunch

This Saturday several girls from my bible study visited for our monthly brunch. Of course, Noah was the star of the show again. Everyone enjoyed holding Noah and playing with him. Noah enjoyed showing off all his new tricks of rolling over and standing up, etc. The girls attention wore him out though. When it was time for his nap, all I had to do was put him into his crib and he was out like a light! No songs, stories, or nursing needed.

Getting Bigger Every Day

It seems Noah is getting so much bigger every moment! This week he started trying to climb out of his bassinette; which we had been using as a mobile playpen. So, for his safety we put the bassinette away, and got out the pack and play. Noah enjoys playing with his toys in the pack and play. The only downside is, it is so much larger than the bassinette, it is not easily moved. So, Noah is confined to a corner of our living room. Because of this situation, he is getting used to much more mobility in the house, lying on blankets and rolling around. I have to keep more of an eye on him though, as his rolling takes him further and further away. Today he tried to wedge under a chair in the dining room. What a silly boy!

California Adventure

Today we visited Disney's California Adventure, the sister park to Disneyland. The reasons we went were to use up the other half of my birthday entrance fee and to see Tim's best friend, Sonny. DCA isn't nearly as fun as Disneyland, but we had a good time watching Sonny's dancers perform and spending time with him.
