New Tricks

Noah has some new tricks up his sleeve. Yesterday he rolled over from his back to his tummy for the first time. Today he can roll over and over and over and uses this method to get to the things he wants. In this video it was the kitty he wanted. Selkie is very patient with Noah. The quality of the video is a bit poor because I was taping myself and had to prop up the camera. But, I thought it was good enough you would like to see it.

Today Noah learned a new trick. We've been working on it for a few days, but today for the first time, Noah fed himself! Previously I was trying puffy rice which is just a little too small for him to grasp. His pinser reflexes are just getting developed. Today we bought some special baby snacks that were a little bigger and he popped them right in! I'm pretty proud of him and Noah is proud of himself. This new trick was the first thing Noah showed Daddy when he got home from work tonight.

Peas

Does anyone's child insist on shoving his dinner into his nose, eyes, ears, and hair, anywhere but his mouth?

Pancakes

One of the lasting effects of the trip to Georgia is a new favorite food for Noah. Pancakes. He loves them. Covered in syrup (okay, only a little syrup) or pureed pears, he thinks they are awesome and gobbles up pancakes like there is no tomorrow. We have already eaten pancalkes here at home twice since we have been back from GA. I have a feeling this delight will not be a passing one.

Daddy and Noah

Just came across this picture in my camera and couldn't resist posting it here. While I was busy with the wedding rehearsal, Tim was doing an awesome job playing with Noah and keeping him distracted. Aren't they cute?

Fun Times

We love to have fun with Noah which often leads to great pictures and videos with very little story, only a caption or two. Here are a few from the past couple weeks. Noah loves to watch as I blow bubbles for him. It's fun to watch his eyes follow the bubbles through the air. He does like to try to eat the bubbles though...Noah loves to spend time outdoors, especially if Mommy or Daddy are doing yard work. His love of the outdoors has caused me to come up with some creative ways to keep him out of the sun and occupied. Here are a few:Umbrella propped in the front yard.Bassinette repurposed as a playpen.Blankets providing extra protection where the stroller doesn't cover.Aunt Katie bought this onesie for Noah in Jerusalem before he was even born. He can finally fit into it at seven months old. When paired with the yarmulke Katie gave Tim for Christmas, he's a pretty cute little boy!
Tickle time is a favorite one around here. You can see Noah likes it as much as we do.

Family Time

While the trip to Georgia was busy and bustling, there were some shining moments Tim, Noah, and I were able to hang on to as our own little family. Here is a favorite picture from the trip. On Thursday night we went for a walk on the beach with family members. We were able to catch a picture with the lighthouse in it at sunset. Love that baby belly!

Meeting all the Elberts and Briggs

Probably the best benefit of our trip, after seeing Katie marry Rich, was how Noah got to meet my entire family. Before this trip he had only met his grandparents and my siblings. Now, he had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful relatives and spend some QT being cuddled by everyone! It was so neat to watch everyone love Noah, chat with him, and get to know him a little bit. I was so impressed with how well he adapted to being held by so many new people in such a short period of time. After just a tiny bit of shyness the first morning, Noah was all smiles and warmth for everyone. While I wasn't able to get pictures of every single family member holding Noah, I think you will see I didn't do too badly. Above Noah enjoyed our first morning's breakfast with the bride-to-be, his Grammie and Grandpa, and for the first time, his great grandfather, Bud.
This is one of my favorite pictures from the entire weekend. I love the light as Uncle Andrew spends time chatting with Noah.Aunt Katie, (Almost) Uncle Rich, and Bud catch up with Noah at a luncheon where Katie's family was able to meet Rich's family for the first time. It was so fun to meet all of the Enos's!Playing with Uncle Andrew's hat. Such silly boys!Noah took to my cousin Jessica very quickly. She had a great way with him and they were a natural fit! Do you see this little flirt with the modeling pose? He kills me! :)My Grandmother's first time meeting the first great grandson in the family. It was a very special moment.Grandpa is already being a bad influence on Noah. Who gave him that beer anyway? My Uncle Steve getting in on the game. He is working on Noah's fist pounding here.My Aunt Merrilee and Noah sharing secrets at the beach. My cousin Matthew holding Noah.My Aunt Nancy saying hello for the first time.Noah completely tuckered out on Grammie's lap at Aunt Katie's Bridal Brunch. My cousin Stephanie holding Noah while Jessica and Uncle Andrew trade some laughs.Uncle Dan holds his nephew and Godson moments before the wedding. Don't they look handsome together?
