Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day! On this auspicious day the family attended "Taps at Twilight" at the beach on St. Simons Island. It was neat to see the area by the beach where Aunt Katie and Uncle Rich were married. Everything looked a lot different as all the construction was done and a new park had been created.
We took a picnic supper and joined some of my parents' friends from church to listen to the community band play patriotic pieces of music and see the raising of the colors.

As usual, Noah was quite a popular attraction at the event. Not only did he have fun bonding with his Grandpa and seeing the ant farm Grandpa was attracting with bits of food on the ground,
he got to meet Grammie's other friends from church. He's such a flirt!
Of course, there is always a moment for a Mommy and Noah picture. I think Noah's favorite part of the evening was when he got to eat both watermelon and angel food cake at the end of the picnic. What a treat! As you can see from these pictures he was in hog heaven! :) What could be better than eating all of your favorite foods while sitting outside and enjoying the festivities? Well, possibly coming home and knocking down a lot of block towers before bed!
