Noah's first flight happened last Wednesday, March 18 as the family traveled to St. Simons Island, GA to celebrate my sister, Katie's, wedding to her fiance' Rich. Not a family to do things the easy way, we decided to take the first flight out from John Wayne Airport, at 6:45am. Surprisingly, Noah stayed awake from the time we left the house at 4:30am until part way into the flight and he was in a good mood the whole time!
We arrived in Atlanta to change planes and had time to grab a little lunch for everyone. Noah happily played with his toys while Tim and I had a little break. It was such a benefit to be able to take our own stroller everywhere. Both Noah and I are used to it and no one got tired out carrying him through the airport.
We arrived in Jacksonville at 5pm EST with no hassle at all! Noah was an angel throughout both of our flights. He slept a little and spent the rest of the time playing with his toys and parents. My friend Jen was right, bringing a few new toys to distract Noah was a perfect idea! It was really nice to have Tim's help. Noah was so good I could have done the flight alone, but I so appreciated having his help. He kept me sane and Noah smiling and never turned down holding Noah whenever I needed a break.
If possible, the flight back home was even better than the flight to the wedding. We took the 6pm flight out of Jacksonville and Noah slept through both flights. The second flight was even better than the first. The flight attendant moved the third person in our row so we could have all three seats.
When Noah fell asleep on this flight, we were able to let Noah sleep in the seat between us.All in all, the flights were all excellent and Noah was the best little flyer ever. We weren't able to get Noah a little wings pin, apparently the airlines don't do that anymore, but he certainly earned his wings on this flight!

yay! told you he'd be an angel. the flights with 12-18 month olds have been our most challenging... but you get through all of them one way or another! glad you guys had such a wonderful trip.
